Introduction

Basic Information on available Troop Types in Kingdoms of Heckfire.

Overview

Troops are absolutely needed in Kingdoms of Heckfire, as they serve various purposes in the game; from resource collection at the resource nodes in the realm, clearing new spaces in the kingdom for new buildings to be built upon, raiding realm monster lairs for more resources, kingdom defense, and to enable players to attack other kingdoms as well.

Troops are produced through training process in the Training Pit. More advanced level of Training Pit allows players to unlock stronger troop types, train more troops per batch, and to cut down the training time required to complete troop training per batch as well. Barracks support the function of the Training Pit, multiple Barracks and constant upgrades on those Barracks will cut down training time further.

There are 2 Basic Troops types and 3 Specialized Troops types available in Kingdom of Heckfire, with 3 more types of Specialized Troops which are the direct upgrade of the previous 3 Specialized Troops. Basic Troops perform basic tasks in the early phase of the game, while Specialized Troops are better at doing certain tasks than the others as they will become available later on in the game.

Basic Troops

Early in the game, 2 types of Basic Troops are available:

  • Militia
  • Guards

Militia

Players start with the most basic of troop type, the Militia. For the early game, Militia will perform most of the resource collection, kingdom invaders clearing, and raiding lower realm monster level for more resources quite adequately. Eventually, progress to better troop types more suitable for the chosen play style needs to be done.

Guards

Guards are the direct upgrade of Militia. This type of troops will be available after enough upgrades on the Training Pit has been completed and the necessary technology on the research tree has been unlocked. Basically, guards are the stronger version of Militia, and still serve the same function for the kingdom like the Militia. This will be the main troops type that players will use for quite a long time since to progress into the next more specialized troops players need to complete quite high level of upgrades on the Training Pit and have already researched the prerequisite Dragon March Cap III to level 10.

Specialized Troops

There are 3 types of Specialized Troops available in Kingdoms of Heckfire, all are available once players upgrade the Training Pit to level 18 and have completed research on Dragon March Cap III technology to level 10.

Once the prerequisites have been met, then 3 types of different Troops with different specialization are available to train. They are:

  • Huntress
  • Knight
  • Pug Rider

Huntress

This specific type of troops specializes in attacking monsters, they receive basic 100 strength bonus when attacking monsters, be it realm monsters or kingdom invaders. They can be further upgraded by doing research on Troop Toughness Bonus, Troop Strength Bonus, Troop March Speed Bonus, Troop Healing Boost, Troop Ability Boost, as well as Increased Carry Capacity technologies.

Knight

This specific type of troops specializes in defense, they receive basic 100 strength bonus when defending. They can be further upgraded by doing research on Troop Toughness Bonus, Troop Strength Bonus, Troop March Speed Bonus, Troop Healing Boost, and Troop Ability Boost.

Pug Rider

This specific type of troops specializes in attacking other players. They receive basic 100 strength bonus when attacking other players. They can be further upgraded by doing research on Troop Toughness Bonus, Troop Strength Bonus, Troop March Speed Bonus, Troop Healing Boost, and Troop Ability Boost.

With different specific bonus each type of troops receive for different task, then players may decide to produce which type of troops that will better suit their play style during the entire course of the game.

After having access to Huntress, Knight, or Pug Rider, the natural progression to the most advanced type of troops will be available to players in the form of Trophy Huntress, Royal Knight, and Wild Pugskateer. These troops types are the next evolution of Huntress, Knight, and Pug Rider; all receive basic bonus 150 Strength for tasks they specialize in, and all of them are further upgradeable through research on Troop Toughness Bonus, Troop Strength Bonus, Troop March Speed Bonus, Troop Healing Boost, and Troop Ability Boost as well.
