Introduction

On July 22 a new Research Speed Gear was introduced, Combat Investigator Gear. In this guide we make a comparison with the previous available gear.

Compared to Battle Tested Research Gear

The previous released Research Gear was called Battle Tested. This one did not include any footwear, so we will make a comparison between the Combat Investigator Gear and the Battle Tested Gear with the Cross Hikers below:

Totals are based on three accessories and full gear set bonus, where applicable.

With an increase of 41.7% the benefit of the new set can be considered large, especially if we also make a comparison with the Standard Research Gear:

The research speed difference with the Standard Material Research Gear is 65.8%, this means that the difference between Combat Investigator and Battle Tested Research Gear is much larger than the difference between Battle Tested and Standard Material Research Gear.

Conclusion

This one for sure seems worth having, unfortunately it is unlikely this becomes available via any method else besides buying packs. Keep your eyes open for packs that either contain pieces of the finished gear, or the materials that are required to manufacture them.
