Why You Need It
Required to level up your Creation, which unlocks and improves Creation Skills and provides Creation Talent Points. Also certain Creation EXP levels are a requirement to be able to wear certain Creation Gear.
Best Way To Get It
Buying from the Catacombs Trader shop.
Other Ways To Get It
Sometimes Creation EXP is a reward for (seasonal) events. Also certain Airship EXP level increase rewards contain Creation EXP. You can also buy it in the Hall of Heroes shop.
Keep In Mind
In my opinion there is still relatively little overlap between the Dragon Spirit and the main game, and you might want to consider whether it is really worthwhile to spend your valuable credits to keep improving your Dragon Spirit.
